Along the Northern rails
England has an expansive rail network and its a vital transportation means for millions. NorthernRail is part of the largest rail network in the UK, including routes through two national parks, and to both East and West coasts. During sixty train journeys focused primarily on documenting lesser-known scenic stops and towns, this project covers much of NorthernRail’s network. This work was part of an art residency with NorthernRail and resulted in a solo exhibition at Manchester Victoria Station. Project photos were acquired by NorthernRail for their permanent archive, and permanent display at rural stations. It was covered on an on-air interview with the BBC on Northwest News Tonight.
